Mr. Urvin Storey of Salt Lake City was visiting last week in Moroni with his father Wm. Storey and his sister Mrs. Russell Bailey. Mrs. Joseph Faux and daughter Romola and Mrs Frank Jensen motored motor-ed to Mammoth last Sunday and were the guests of Mrs. Faux's sister, Mrs L. S. Nielsen. The officers of the Sorosis club entertained en-tertained the members and their husbands hus-bands at a rook party Wednesday evening at the club rooms. Armistice Day decorations were used. Seven games of rook were played, and the prizes were awarded to Mrs. Ernest Blackham and John R. Blackham. Ellis Draper and Mrs. Russell Bailey received consolation prizes. Supper was served to the following: Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Draper, Mr. and Mrs. Mozart Mo-zart Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Anderson, An-derson, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyde Blackham, Black-ham, Mr. and Mrs. Russel Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Mert Draper, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Blackham, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Blackham, Mr. and Mrs. James Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Stucki. The host and hostesses were: Mr. and Mrs. John Irons, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Blackham, Mr. and Mrs. E. D Anderson, Ander-son, Mr and Mrs Leo iortey, Mr. and and Mrs. Ellis Draper, Mrs. Ophelia Rhodes and Mrs. N. P. Sorensen. Mrs. Frank Jensen entertained twelve little friends of her son Elliot, Thursday afternoon, the occasion be ing his eighth birthday' anniversary. Refreshments were served. Arthur Nielsen of SheUey. Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Olsen of Tooele, Utah, were guests of their mother, Mrs. N. E. Nielsen, this week. Miss Verla Nielsen has recently returned re-turned from Tooele and Salt Lake City, where she has been visiting with her sisters. Mrs. Dora Phillippi of Los Angeles, California, was the guest of her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Phillippi this week. Mrs. Ephraim Nelson has returned from the L. D. S. hospital at Salt Lake City. She is improving very slowly. Lagrande Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry J. Peterson, went to Salt Lake City this week to have a growth removed from his face. Mr. and Mrs. Abe Little of Salt Lake City were called here this week because be-cause of the illness of Mrs. Little's mother, Mrs. Frank Little. Mr. and Mrs. Will Anderson spent, the weekend at Huntington, Utah, visiting Mrs. Anderson's mother. Mrs. Minerva Anderson Little passed pass-ed away at her home Monday morning, morn-ing, November 18th, after a lingering linger-ing illness. Mrs. Little was born in Moroni August 10, 1872. She has always al-ways made her home here. She married Frank Little January 17, 1895. Four children were born to them, three of whom besides her husband survive her: Mrs. Abe Little, Salt Lake City; Clara and Saddie of Moroni; one adopted son, Wayne Crismon, whom she took care of since his mother's death; three brothers, Ernest Anderson, Moroni; Arlie Anderson, An-derson, Fayette; Ferd Anderson, San Francisco, California. Miss DeOra Anderson entertained Saturday night after the dance in honor hon-or of Ralph Blackham. The occasion was his birthdav. Social conversation was enjoyed by all and delicious refreshments re-freshments were served. Those present pres-ent were: Grace Blackham, Ellwood Draper, Twila Bagnall, Howard Blackham, Black-ham, Billie Bean, Wilbur Cahoon, DeOra De-Ora Anderson and Ralph Blackham. Mrs. Frank Christensen and children chil-dren have gone to Shelley, Idaho, to join her husband who has employment there. ' |
