Show j FOUNTAIN GREEN ! By Special Correspondence 1 The Parent-Teachers Association of Fountain Green held their monthly meeting Wednesday evening November 13th at the Junior high school. Community Com-munity singing "Grandfather's Clock" and "P. T. A. Song" was conducted by Mr. Borgeson. Hilda Christiansen sang, "One Fleeting Hour" with violin accompaniment by john Guymon; song by Junior girls, "Armistice Day." Mr. Reid of Manti. Solo, "My Task. ' A very interesting talk was given by Mrs. Lilian E. Coombs. Games were played and refreshments served. A good attendance was present. A fire broke out Saturday morning at four o'clock which caused a great deal of excitement while it lasted. The ice house belonging to Hyrum Anderson An-derson and also the one owned by W. H. Johnson, burned to the ground. The loss is estimated at four hundred dollars and the cause of the fire is unknown. The Sorosis club met at tne home of Mrs. Geo. C. Anderson. A pleasant afternoon was spent and a hot supper was served at five o'clock. Assisting in serving was Mrs. Louis Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, and Miss Jean Anderson. Those present were: Agnes Oldroyd, Leah Hansen, Leacy Jensen, Naomi Allrea, Nellie Yorga-son, Yorga-son, Myrtle Livingston, Ethel Anderson, Ander-son, Lyda Carter. Some of the students of the Moroni Seminary, under the direction of Mr. W. M. Rigby furnished the program at ward chapel Sunday afternoon. They rendered their parts in a very satisfactory satisfac-tory manner and it was appreciated by the large number in attendance. Mrs. Mary Reese of Salt Lake is visiting with her mother Mrs. B. M. Jacobson. Gerald Augason who has been seriously seri-ously ill for over a week, is reported to be improving now. Mrs. John Snow is also resovering from a long seige of illness. Mrs. W. O. Collard and two children of Salt Lake are visiting with relatives and friends here for a lew days. The Primary Association of Fountain Foun-tain Green will give a children's dance in the afternoon on Thanksgiving Thanks-giving day. A dance for grown-ups will be given in the evening. Just A Mere Club was entertained Friday afternoon November 15th by Mrs. Osmond Crowther and Mrs. Matthias Mat-thias Allred for the purpose of presenting pre-senting each member of the club with a token cf remembrance. Those present pres-ent were Mrs. Burton Holman, Mrs. Urban Madsen, Mrs. Howard Allred, Mrs. Perry Allred, Mrs. Harry Holman Mrs. Junius Collard and Mrs. Sam Coulson. Refreshments were served and a sociable time was spent. |
