Show MORONI i By Special Correspondence "Broadway Babies" starring Alice White will be shown Sunday and Monday, December 15th and 16th at the Kozy Theatre. Mrs. Carl Peterson has returned home after visiting with her son Vance at Magna. Mrs. Till Jorden who has been visiting relatives in Garfield for the past month, has returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jensen of Garfield anounce the birth of a daughter. They are former residents resi-dents of Moroni. Mrs. Elizabeth D Larsen of Spring City visited last week with her daughter, Mrs. Marvin Anderson. Ander-son. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Bradley announce the birth of a baby boy at their home. Mr. and Mrs. Vincen Christensen Christen-sen announce the birth of a son. The Sorosis club held their meeting meet-ing Thursday afternooo in the club rooms. Mrs. Marvin Anderson and Mrs Joseph Prestwich were the hostesses' Community singing was conducted by Mrs. Ophelia Rhodes. A reading was given by Mrs. Ellis Draper. Plans were mode for the Christmas party. Refreshments were served to the following members: mem-bers: Mrs. Blaine Draper, Mrs. Gene Despain, Mrs. Lewis Black-ham, Black-ham, Mrs. Ellis Draper, Mrs. Ophelia Rhodes, Mrs. Lloyd Black-ham, Black-ham, Mrs. Mozart Larsen, Mrs E. A. presented pre-sented three one act plays in the Kozy TheWtre Thursday evening, taking first place in the contest, Moroni west ward taking second and Fountain Green ward taking third place. In the near future they will again present their one act play 'High Hearts " The West ward will present "Soiil Mates" and Fountain Green will present "The Convict" at the Kozy Theatre and will again be judged to see which of the three go to the State contest con-test in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. William Olsen announce an-nounce the birth of a son. Mrs. Harry J. Peterson was a Salt Lake visitor lost week. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Bruno and Mrs Scottie Bruno motored to Eureka Sunday. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs Gene Drussel. The Parent Teachers association held their monthly meeting Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon in the high school building. Music was furnished by the Moroni High School glee club under the direction of Ray Anderson. Ander-son. A teachers' problems were discussed by Miss Helen Bean, supervisor su-pervisor of Home Economics in the Lincoln school. Miss Bean made an urgent appeal for equipment needed in her department. Mrs. John R. Blackham spoke on cooperation co-operation between home and school and encouraged membership in the organization. President Grace Anderson and Miss Barrett spoke of plans for a program and carnival to be held in the high school gym on Decemeber 13th, the funds from which will go toward financing of the Moroni high school year book |
