Show Alpine Summer School I Will Close on Saturday' The Alpine Summer School of Brie- ' ham Young University after having had a most successful and interesting session ses-sion will come to a close here next Saturday morning, according to Dean C. Y. Cannon, who has been in charge of the summer session. This will conclude con-clude a full quarter of summer work in time for teachers and students to get a little rest before the autumn term opens on September 17th. Through no outside teachers except Professor A. O. Garret, eminent authority auth-ority on the flora of the Wasatch of Salt Lake City, have been engaged at the summer school, the enrollment has been excellent and the general satisfaction satis-faction remarkable, according to Dean Cannon, who is a firm believer in the educators of the state. Though the science courses have been popular as usual in this natural laboratory. labor-atory. Dean Cannon declares that education ed-ucation English and art courses have also been well attended. Professor B. F. Larson has been in "charge of the fine art. Under his direction di-rection many beautiful paintings in both oils and water have been created. An added interest was given the school this year when Coach Charles J. Hart, was asked to take charge of recreational re-creational features. Coacii Hart has kept the camp wisely and well enter- j tained. He has not only had athletic i equipment on hand ready for the j students, but he has planned parties and entertainments in plenty. The verdict is unanimous that the term has , been unusual from a recreational as I well as from an educational point of . .view. I Professor Herold R. Clark, manager of the business end of the summer j session, has been genial and accom- j modating and has kept boarders and j campers in good humor at all times j while supplying their needs. I Saturday the camp will be closed for another year, when a bigger and more j extensive session will be held, if plans which are already underway materialize |
