Show j MORONI ' I . ! Funeral services were held for A. L. Bradley Tuesday afternoon in the west ward chapel. Prayers were offered by Soren C. Nielsen and N. P. Sorensen. The choir sang "Resting Now From Care and Sorrow", and "I Need Thee Every Hour Special musical numbers were, Duet "The Upper Garden" by Mrs. Lawrence Larsen and Mrs. P. J. Draper, solo, "I Know That My Redeemer Livith'" Mrs. Melba Powell, solo, "My Loved One Rest", by Mrs. Ernest Anderson. Piano solo, Miss Gladys Sorensen, violin solo, Howard Bradley, of Manti, The speakers were Orlando Bradley, Jabez Faux, John Jensen and Vernile Jensen. ' Mrs. Bell Nielsen is suffering from the effects of a stroke. It is reported she is in a serious condition. ' Miss Gladys Sorensen is visiting re-atives re-atives and friends in this city. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bradley of Logan were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Anderson, Wednesday. A large number of people of Moroni, attended the Black Hawk encampment at Spanish Fork, this week. Moroni took an active part on the program. Tuesday evening the veterans were entertained by the 47 band of this city. The eight year old son of Clark Anderson created a lot of excitement Saturday morning, when he ran In front of a car driven on main street by Mr. John I. Morley. Mr. Money turned quick to avoid hitting the child and ran into the cement culbert with his car and turned completely over, Mrs. Morley was brused besides scalded scald-ed her foot, Mr. Morley was fortunate enough in getting out without a scratch The accident happened in front of Dr. Dice's residence. About fifty young people attended a bundle shower for Miss Cloe Reese, who will be married in the near future. The East ward Primary officers went to the home of Roy Blackham and gave her a pleasant surprise. Mrs. Black-ham Black-ham is leaving Sept 1st. to spend the winter at Provo. The Sorosis club and their husbands motored to arrow Head, Sunday. After enjoying a swim they drove back to Payson park where they enjoyed an elaborate dinner. The hosts and hostesses host-esses were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Anderson Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Blackham, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Blackham, Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Blackham, Mr. and Mrs. Russel Bailey, and Mr. and Mrs. L. Nielsen, President, Mrs. Rulon Johnson and Mrs. Dan Olsen as counselors. coun-selors. Helen Elackham and Pete Hansen of Ft. Green were married in the Salt Lake Temple Wednesday, August 15th Mrs. Cleon Anderson has returned home from an extended trip to Calif ornia. The East ward Y. L. M. I.. A., was reorganized this week with Mrs. Morgan Mor-gan Lamb as President, Mrs. John t Bailey and Sarah Kellett as councelors and Zelma Anderson as secretary. Mr. and Mrs. Ordell Blackham announce an-nounce the birth of a son. ' Dorrol Rassmussen and family have returned home after spending their vacation at the reservation visiting relatives. |
