Show Work Progressing On the Flood Dam Mt. Pleasant City will SOOn be pre-Itected pre-Itected from the mtMuieinK' floods of past years, as n tlooil control Project is now under construction two miles east of I the city. I Mr. A. P. Reynolds of Mt. rieasnnt is in charge of the Construction work. At present he has twenty men and teams on the Job. The excavation for the bit; thirty-fool, cobblo spill-way, Is now completely ready for the mason'ery work, which will bee In nt once. The North wins of the dike Is completed and the South wing will bo finished within ten days. The work was begun four years ago. but it seems that only thru loyal efforts jot present city mayor H. li. Hansen and his able City Council was the project pro-ject able to go on. I Plans for the project have been furn-, furn-, ished by Professor L. M. Winsor, Ir-i Ir-i notation Kngineer, formerly with the Utah Agricultural College and nt present pres-ent in charge of Construction work on the Poderal Bud Refuge in Boxelder County. Professor Winsor Is expected here this week to assist for a day or two In getting the masonary work of the spill-way under way. nnd check up on other details of construction. When completed the project will have cevst approximately eight thousand dol- . lars. |
