Show Neighborhood News Mrs. J. W. Jones entertained the Acme Literary club at its first meet-, ing of the year, Friday afte.noon at the home of her mother, Mrs. James Monsen. Mrs. A. W. Anderson, club president, gave the annual president's address; treasurer's report, Mrs. George a'. Peterson; lesson, "The history of Mother Mo-ther Goose," Miss Pearl Jorgensen: Mother Goose songs directed by Mrs. H. G. Ericksen; vocal solo, Miss Christie Chris-tie Jacobsen; piano solo, Miss Kathryn Jacobsen. A clever Motheer Goose luncheon featuring Humpty Dumpty, Goosey Gander, Jack Horner pie and plum was served to fifteen guests. Mrs. Clinton Poulsen of Bingham, Mrs. James Monsen and Miss Mary Monsen Mon-sen were special guests. The Juior Literary club met Friday afternoon with Mrs. Guy Candland, in its annual opening social, a Bridge Luncheon. Mrs. Leonard J. Seely, new president, was in charge. A gift was presented to Mrs. Guy Candland, retiring president, from the club by Mrs. S. M. Ericksen. The club will meet in two weeks with Mrs. Clarence Anderson. Special guests were Mrs. Marjorie M. Brom, Mrs. A. D. Christensen, Mrs. R. W. Candland, Mrs. Alden L. Peterson. Peter-son. The Eastern States Mission Society will hold their semi-annual Reunion Saturday evening, October 5th, 1929, at 8:30 sharp on the roof , garden of Smith Memorial Building, L. D. 3. High School, Salt Lake City. All interested in the Eastern Statos Mission are cordially invited. |
