Show Candland Speaks On Taxation at Lion Club Meet Lion President A. E. Jones was in the chair at the regular semi-monthlv Lions club luncheon meeting, Wednes day evening, at the home of Mrs. A. W. Madsen. State Senator W. D. Candland, a member of the legislative legisla-tive Tax Committee, spoke on the subject, sub-ject, "Taxation." Music was furnished furnish-ed by Miss Lucille Stewart, Miss Pearl Poulsen and Mrs. Ferry Peterson. Announcement was made that the Guggenheim Foundation for Aeronautics Aero-nautics had requested that the city be marked. It is anticipated that the North Sanpete high school will be painted for the purpose. Lion A. E. Darley, Smith-Hughes director at N. S. H. S. spoke concerning concern-ing the "Future Farmers of America." The Lions club will entertain the "Future Farmers" of North Sanpete high school, their fathers, and Lions clubs from surrounding towns, at a dinner the first meeting in December. Lion H. C. Jacobs spoke of the mail delivery question. The following committee com-mittee was appointed on attendance and membership: H. C. Jacobs, Wm. Hanseij, F. J. Neilson, Fred Rasmus-sen. |
