Show North Sanpete Wins Over Salina The North Sanpete high school won the first Sanpete-Sevier league Football game Friday afternoon in a fast game with Salina, the score resulting re-sulting 37-0. The game was characterized by op-en op-en field runs and long passes. Outstanding work was by Christen-sen, Christen-sen, Winkelmah, Peterson, Allred and ( Meyrick of Sanpete's backfield, to-gether to-gether with Hafen and Johansen on the lino. Thrilling plays were a 35 yard run on a reverse play during the second quarter. Winkelman carrying the ball to the 5 yard line, Christensen putting it over all in 35 seconds. A 40 yard pass from Allred to Haf-on Haf-on at the end of the first half netting Sanpete her fourth touchdown. |
