Show NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS Damascus Lodge No. 10, F. and A. M., enjoyed an ollicial visit Saturday .ivening from the Grand Lodge of Utah. Following the business session ses-sion a banquiet was served in honor jf the visiting brethren. The visitors were C. F. Jennings, Grand Master; S. H. Cood, acting Deputy Grand Master; A. C. Wherry, Junior Grand Warden; F. A. McCarty, Grand Secretary; Sec-retary; it. W. Ashley, acting Gran-d treasurer; C. C. Griggs, Past Grand Master, and W. B. Dods. The Wives and Daughters of Indian In-dian War Veterans met Thursday, tine 7, at the Ladies' Hall, where .he following program was carried out: Regent Mrs. Annie G. Carter presided; a talk by Mrs. William Seely relating to early experiences with Indians; song, Mildred and Sarah Sar-ah Barton; reading from Sanpete aistory, Mrs. Ed Freston; short talks by Mrs. Annie G. Carter and Mrs. .vlelvina Crane. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Marie Ma-rie Barton, Thursday, July 12. The stork has spent a busy week in Mount Pleasant, leaving sons at Mie homes of J. W. Cherry, William Coates and Andrew Norman, a daughter at the home of Harold G. Jensen,' another daughter at the 'home of Francis Brotherson, and to make his gifts generous, he left twin girls at the home of Erastus iRasmussen Monday. Dr. Otto Neilsen, the well-known dentist of Ephraim was a Mount Pleasant visitor Wednesday and while here completed arrangements for opening an up-to-date dental office of-fice in the Lamont building. . Dr. Neilsen expects to be ready for work about June 26. s Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Johnson and Mrs. Abram Johnson visited a week in Salt Lake, guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. Howard Johnson, returning Wednesday. Miss Nettie Beaumann entertained her Sunday School class Wednesday afternoon, serving light refreshments refresh-ments after the play hour. |
