Show Paper Fabrics in Norway. The Nydaleus compauy, one of Nor-! Nor-! way' leading textile manufacturers, has for some time beeu experimenting with paper textiles, and the results have been so good that its factory will soon produce these new fabrics on a large scale, according to n commercial agent report from Copenhagen. They consist of 75 per cent paper and 23 per cent cotton and are said to be soft ! and warm ; u little heavier than ordi-i ordi-i f.ry cotton goods and not quite so l strong, but cheaper. They should be J especially suited, says the Norwegian press, for blouses, dresses, curtains, mid, in-short, as a substitute for cotton cot-ton goods in general. The Christiania sejlugsfabrik (sail cloth factory) has also been experimenting experi-menting with paper as a substitute and has obtained some promising results. |
