Show RED CROSS NOTES The recent inauguration of a weekly donation of Sunday eggs or a cash contribution has proven very successful almost every family in town responding open-heartedly to the Red Cross appeals and not in many instances have slackers been found. Longsdorf at Red Cross Price 2.91 Total $6:i-3: In addition to the gato receipt from the baseball game played on the Fourth of July, between Mount Pleasant and Fairview teams and amounting to $51.50, were given to the Red Cross Chapter and a gift of $15 was received last week from the Hawthorne Circle, Women of Woodcraft. Wood-craft. The chapter is now a year old and the first annual report will be ready for publication next week. Charter members are reminded that the yearly fee is now due. A list of all the weekly contributions is now at Red Cross headquarters open for the inspection of all visitors. The Wasatch Academy Junior Red Cross members were unable to finish fin-ish a number of articles begun by them, owing to the unexpected early closing of school and these articles were completed this week by Mrs. R. B. Norton and delivered to the Red Cross rooms. In this allotment are 13 tea cloths, 1 picture book, 21 knitted squares for atghams. 13 pairs of infants bootees, 4 knitted hoods for infants, 4 rolls infants bands, and 43 pieces infants layette. A crib quilt was also contributed by Mrs R. B. Norton. The branch at Spring City have turned in this week the following finished articles: 45 pairs bed socks, 35 pajama coats, 45 pairs pajama pants and 17 comfort com-fort pillows. |
