ALL FOOL'S DAY Yesterday war, All Fool's Day, a day set apart by common consent among the people of this country when anybody feeling so disposed may' make just as big a fool of his neighbor or his friend or his family as his ingenuity may suggest if the other side of the argument doesn't get the start of the joke. A good feature fea-ture of the day is that, tire law creating cre-ating it provides that nobody gets sore everybody takes everything and lets it go at that. There were lots of jokes played yesterday, most of them little fellows, bu! noiT-Ihe less funny. Students or the local schools took advantage or the day and went into the fields pieniring. At the high school it was made unanimous unani-mous all students going on a strike, while at the Grade schools most of the higher grades did the same thing. It was a fine day and the young folks tnade a big time of it. |
