Show 20th CENTURY CLUB FIRST TO MAKE EFFORTS FOR PUBLIC LIBRARY f . Tlie Ladies of the 20th Century Cen-tury Club have seen for a Ions-time Ions-time the need of a Public Library Libr-ary and reading room in our city and have decided to establish estab-lish one in the n ar future, if a suitable room centrally located can be obtained. The club has on hand over one hundred dollars worth of becks and members will contribute more books magazines and newspapers. newspap-ers. If their plans mature other organizations will be asked t: , cooperate with them and make 1 of it a permanent institution. It is an opportime time for the x Club to take this matter up as Mt. Pleasant is sadly in reed of a Public Liberary. It will furnish a place of interest and study for the young men and women of this city to go and spend their spare moments to a good and useful advantage. It will be a store house of learning for the the student who wishes to make researches re-searches on subjects foreign m that which he can obtfin in the various schools.
