M. Nielson of Salt Lake has been in Spring City and Ephraim visiting with relatives fliis week. Arthur Johnson, County Treasurer, spent Tuesday evening in Spring City with his brother, J. M. Johnson. Benjamin Thomas of Bingham is spending a few days in Wales visiting visit-ing with old time Irlends and relatives. rela-tives. C. J. Anderson of Chester has purchased pur-chased a new five-passanger Stude-baker Stude-baker Automobile, from H. C. Merz of Mt. Pleasant, this week. Mrs. Leon Allred of Kemmerer, Wyoming, has purchased the farm of Jacob Nelson at Chester and is expected ex-pected to arrive here soon with his movables. Edward Christensen who :ias been working as a bridgeman on the D. & R. G. is spending a few days visiting with his sister, Mrs. Christian Larson Lar-son of Chester. P. C. Madsen and wife, residents of Spring City for many years, moved to Salina this week where their daughter will care for them the remaining re-maining years of their life. Mr. Mad-sen Mad-sen is 9 3 years and Mrs. Madsen is 88 years of age. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Allred of Salt Lake have been in Spring City visiting visit-ing a short time with Mrs. Allred's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Billing-ton. Billing-ton. Mr. Allred has a good position as Kouse-man in the baggage room of the D. & R. G. Western Pacific Union Un-ion Depot. Wm. Ford, an old time resident of Spring City, died of general debility Wednesday evening April 13th, at the home of Wm. Puzey, at the advanced age of 8 0 years. The only relatives of Mr. Ford are living in the East. Services were held at tne Tabernacle Saturday afternoon and interment was made in the Spring City Cemetery. The Wales singers, winners of the Mutual Singing Contest of Sanpete County, departed for Richfield Saturday Satur-day in automobiles, to contest with the Sevic-r County winners. The Wales people lost, by a very small margin, to our southern neighbors. |
