Show i AIUVIEW Miss Dora Day visited in Gunnison he past week. Nola Day and Mabel Olsen were Kphraim visitors this week. Lawrence Christopherson who has taught school near Hrigham City the past year is a Fairview visitor. Misses Elva Madsen and Leona Xordstrom spent a few days visiting he Snow Academy last week. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hansen of Salt Lake, Rasmus Hansen and Martin uid Andrew Benson of Ephraim were hose out of town who attended the uneral. His wife and parents have he sympathy of the community. Miss Emma Maglehy of Monroe, Miss Cleo Olsen and Miss Bell Hog-ran Hog-ran of Manti and Miss Vera Carter of Provo, who have been teaching in the public schools, all returned to .heir homes last week. They will return again as they are all hired for next years work here. The Ladies Literary Club met May 2 0lh at the home of Mrs. John R. Graham. A paper was given on Memorial Day by Mrs. J. W. Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, and Home Helps by Mrs. J. P. Larsen. Nine ladies enjoyed the social so-cial hour and the refreshments that were served. Peace Day was celebrated in the L. D. S. Chapel last Sunday. Swen O. Nielson and J. W. Christensen gave excellent discourses and Mrs. A. U. Miner gave a reading "The Perfect Per-fect Tribute to Lincoln." Special music mu-sic was given by the choir and Miss Cloe Miner gave a piano solo, also a vocal solo was given by Bishop Hansen. Han-sen. Frank Bills died at his home May iotn irom general debility, having I had a stpoke two years ago. He has 'ieen in poor health since. He was dxty nine years old. Funeral services ser-vices were held in the L. D. S. Chapel Martin Allred, ExBishop Peterson and Bishop H. P. Hansen all spoke well of his life and character. His wife died about two months ago. He leaves four daughters and two sons to mourn his loss. Moroni Amundsen died Monday of heart trouble. He was twenty nine years old and leaves a wife, one brother and his parents. Funeral services were held May 20th. Oscar Peterson, Willie Rigby, H. W. Clark and Swen O. Nielson were the speakers speak-ers who spoke well of his life and labors.The many beautiful flowers and the large attendance at thejun-eral thejun-eral showed the esteem in which he was held. |
