Show SPRING CITY : E. A. Billingion went to Salt Lake Tuesday. Hans Nellson of Chester went to Murray Saturday to visit with relatives. rel-atives. ; Arthur O. Neilson of Mount Pleasant Pleas-ant is in Spring City this week in the interest of the Pyramid . 'Mrs. Howard Kasmussen Salt Lake is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ilayward of Chester. Ches-ter. , Mrs. James Willis and family of Pasadena, California, are here visiting visit-ing with Mrs. Willis parents, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Blain. W. E. Watson and family made a trip to Springville and returned in an automobile the fore part of the week. Mrs. Isabelle Larsen received the greatest number of votes in the voting vot-ing contest for Goddess of Liberty. Mrs. Larsen was the favorite with the jlder boys. Mr. and Mrs. Hipkins of Ottowii, ihio, have been here visiting with their daughter, Miss Margaret i.p-kins, i.p-kins, who is in charge of the Me h-odist h-odist Mission here. They all left Thursday for California. They will visit the expositions at San Francisco .nd San Diego before returning. Lloyd Clawson met with a painfu'. . cident Monday evening while riding rid-ing a horse and leading another in he South Field. The horse he was iding became frightened and coni-eneed coni-eneed bucking and threw Mr. Claw-on Claw-on to the ground. The one he was eading evidently jumped and struck !m in the head as he w'as unconcious or six hours and had several of hit eth knocked out. He was found liortly after the accident and re-:oved re-:oved to his father's home. At this riting his recovery is reported to e very slow. H. L. Sumison of Chester had a narrow escape last Friday when a team of mules he w-as driving on a double row beet cultivator ran away Iragging Mr. Sumison several blocks. 3ishop Allred who is said to always 'e on hand whenever there is a runaway run-away was the first one to respond to Mr. Sumison's assistance but did not know that Mr. Sumi.--o:i was behind be-hind tile cultivator when lie mounted his stet'd and started at":'r t'ne runaways, run-aways, and was very much surprised when he overtook them to see Mr. Sumison come crawling up out of the cloud of dust. Aside from some bruises sustained from dragging Mr. Sumison is congratulating himself oi. the fortunate outcome. |
