Show Major Wlliams of Salt Lake had intended to lead the force on the great undertaking but at the last moment a wire was received that he was unable to come and the four brave men went without their leader. However, with all their bravery they did not dare venture the trip without taking the game warden, Fred Jorgenson, Jor-genson, along to weigh and measure the fish. Nevertheless they did well. Capt. Braby reported early Tuesday afternoon that none of the big ones got away, but all were captured and brought home. They never came to camp without fish and their greatest difficulty was to find men enough to eat the fish they caught. Capt. Jorgenson, being the game warden spent part of the time in looking over the conditions of the streams and found that there were native trout in Silver Creek, Hainbow trout in Gooseberry and Eastern lirook trout in Hultington. The officials state (hat the only un. pleasant thing about the trip was that they had to return home. The fish that they brought back witb them showed that they were brave men and tackled anything that came in their way. |
