' Children wishing to enter floats in the miniature parade, in Neutral highlight of Mt. Pleasant's Fourth of July celebration, should hand their applications to Dr. Dail P. Averett by Saturday, Satur-day, July 2.- Dr. Averett said every child in North Sanpete is invited to enter a float in the parade and he urged parents to help their children chil-dren construct floats which lend color and entertainment to the event. Church organizations are sponsors of the parade. Cash prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place winners in humor, art and miscellaneous mis-cellaneous classes, Dr. Averett said. Meanwhile J. S. Jensen, general gen-eral chairman of the city recreation recre-ation committee, said that other oth-er events on the day-long celebration cele-bration schedule are being arranged ar-ranged by the following: Odd Fellows, children's sports; American Amer-ican Legion and Auxiliary, program; pro-gram; schools, publicity; city council, finance; Jayoees, concessions; con-cessions; Ball club, ball game; La Icos, refreshment booths, and Rod and Gun club, dance! |
