Show Opportunity Bond Wagon Visits N. S.; Lions Fete Campaigners Members of the state Bond Wagon troupe were guests at . the Mt. Pleasant Lions club in- stallation meeting held Wed- nesday evening at the City v! lodge. Thursday it was scheduled sched-uled for visits in Fairview and Spring City with an evenng appearance ap-pearance at Ephram. Mr. Hughes announced at the meeting that Sanpete county has reached 39 per cent of its quota for the Opportunity campaign. cam-paign. -A Installed as new president I II, was J S. It was announcea that Ralph Gunn has agreed to continue in the office of secretary-treasurer. Awards for outstanding service serv-ice to the club were made to Mrs. Ray Bohne -and Mrs. Merrill Mer-rill Hatch, who have acted during dur-ing the past year as co-chairmen of the Ladies Night dinner committee. Pins were also awarded to Mr. Hughes, Mr. Bollinger, Mr. Gunn and Joseph Ursenbach for perfect meeting attendance during dur-ing the past year. Mr. Ursenbach Ursen-bach gave a brief report on the Lions state convention recently concluded. Guests of the evening were Bert Hafen and Miss Phyllis Cotro-Manes, Mr. and Mrs. John Sours, Mrs. Ralph Goodrich and Miss Helen Squire. Miss Squire sang a vocal solo, accompanied by Mrs Ralph Gunn. Welcomed as new members in the organization were Mr. and Mrs. R. K. Gaddie. Community singing was led by William Burton. |
