Glade was wounded in the battle of Tunisia, and was taken a prisoner pris-oner by the Germans and later was treated in an Italian hospital hos-pital for a leg wound, then he was moved to a German prisoner of war hospital. He was aboard the exchange ship Gripsholm, who, with other passenners was the result of an exchange. His many relatives and friends are very happy to welcome him back home and trust that his wound will respond to skilled treatment treat-ment and that his speedy recovery re-covery will be possible. A very pleasant meeting took place the other day somewhere in England when 1st Lt. Leo L. 'Mower and 2nd Lt. Asael Olsen, both of Fountain Green, met for the first time since being in the Service. Lt. Mower writes, "Our meeting was one of great surprise sur-prise mingled with tears of joy. After reminiscing for some time we then went up in Lt. Olsen's P-3S fighter plane to acquaint ourselves with certain sections of this beautiful country." Lt. Olsen Ol-sen writes, "I spent the night with Lt. Mower and were we happy hap-py to be togetherd and talk of good old Fountain Green. The best of luck to Lt. Mower and Lt. Olsen. They have gone a long way in this old war. May they survive and return unharmed to the land they love best. Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Jensen report their grandson, Robert Collard, son of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Collard, is missing in action while flying between India In-dia and China. High hopes, however, how-ever, are held out for his safe landing. Pvt. lc Emerson Cook of Las Vegas, Nevada enroute to Lincoln, Lin-coln, Nebraska, where he has been transfered, spent a short visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Cook during the weeks. Seaman 2c Darius Anderson, stationed at Treasure Island. California is spending a furlough fur-lough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anderson, and also relatives and friends Social News Mrs. Ruth H. Rigby, who has employment at the Clearfield Naval Supply Depot, visited dur-! ing the week with relatives and I friends at Fountain Green. Mrs. Laurel A. Schales and children chil-dren of Pleasant Grove are visiting visit-ing with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Aagard. Mrs. Daris Barnes of Nephi and Mrs. Lois Blackham of Moroni spent Sunday with their parents Mr and Mrs. N. C. Mikkelson Miss Wanda Robertson of Topaz, To-paz, Utah visited Sunday with her sister, Mrs. Maud Anderson Mrs. Enid Nielson is visiting with relatives in different parts of Colorado. Mrs. Hyrum Lund visited re-! cently with her children in Salt Lake City. i Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkins of i Nephi visited Sunday with Mrs. ' Parkins' father, Wilford Coombs. Mrs. Jewel Gable of Nephi vis- j ited Sunday with her parents, Mr. ' and Mrs. Clarence W. Hansen. . Mrs. Caroline M. Hansen Bogh received any kind words and re-memberances re-memberances on June 19th when she observed her 80th birthday anniversary at her home in Fountain Foun-tain Green. Mrs. Hansen Bogh has been very active in her 80 yeai's sojourn and her many friends wish her many more years of contentment and happy-ness. happy-ness. She is the mother of ten children, six of whom are living. They are, J. L. Hansen, Earl, Edward Ed-ward M., and Clarence W., and Mrs. Gladys Winters and Mrs. Devonna Crowther, all of Fountain Foun-tain Green. Rulon Johnson and Dean Livingston Liv-ingston of Moroni were the speakers speak-ers at Sacrament Meeting Sunday. Sun-day. j Mrs. Mary E. Holman is visit ing in Santaquin with her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Zola Allen and family. Mrs. Oleta Bailey and Mrs. Vel-da Vel-da Jackson were Salt Lake City business visitors Tuesday. Mrs. Jean Reynolds visited during dur-ing the week with friends in Kaysville and in Provo with her sister, Mrs. Geniel Paystrup, who accompanied her home to spend i Father's Day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs' L.
