Show Mount Pleasant Soldier Is Reported Wounded In Italy Mrs. Carrie Tomlinson received a telegram from the War Department Depart-ment this week informing her that her son, Private First Class Herbert J. Tomlinson had been f wounded on . May 28th in the ! Italian theatre of operations. j ! Mrs. Tomlinson also got a let-! '. ter from her son advising her not to worry about his wounds as he was being-hospitalized by our) own people in Italy and that his wounds consisted of two shots in the right arm below the shoulder shoul-der and above the elbow. The bone was broken badly but the boy sends his mother word that the doctor says he can save his arm. He also states that he is getting better every day. He is a graduate of Wasatch Academy and has been in the j service since December, 1942. He received his training with para-! para-! chute troops before being sent overseas in the summer of 1943. |
