Show 4-H Clubs Hold Encampment Approximately 50 girls from Mt. Pleasant, in addition to girls from all over Sanpete County, left Thursday to attend a three-day three-day encampment at Boulger east of Flat Canyon, under the direction of extension agents, Russell R. Keetch and Naomi Jensen of Manti. According to Mrs. Pearl Winkler, Wink-ler, town supervisor, the girls were required to furnish their own transportation, food, bedding, bed-ding, tents, and were transported in the trucks of Ellis Hansen and Earl Burnside and numerous private pri-vate cars. Shellcraft will be taught the 4-H members, with the use of seashells, making such articles as berets, ' purses, etc. Activities will include campfire programs, hiking, games and sports. Supervisors attending the encampment en-campment with the girls from Mt. Pleasant are Ruth Peel, Carolyn Car-olyn Peel, Mrs. Norine Syndergaard, Synder-gaard, Mrs. LaRue Conlin, Mrs. Lorena Whimpey, Mrs. Annie Lott, and Mrs. Roxey Nielson. Camp will be dismissed early Saturday afternoon, at which time the girls will return to their homes. |
