Show 1 Bishop Graham Passes Away At j! Fairview Home nCilrec: John R. Graham, 72, retiree' . merchant and former mayor o; Fairview, died Tuesday at his home after a lingering illness. Born in Fairview on Dec. 1 1S74, he was a' son of John am' Christena Graham. He attended school in Fairview and later Brigham Young university in Provo. Mr. Graham was manager and secretary-treasurer of the Fair-view Fair-view North Creamery Co. In 1910-11 he served as mayor of Fairview, and during his term in office the city electric light and power plant was established in the community. Held School Post He became a member of the North Sanpete school district board after its consolidation and . i served for 17 years, part of which 1 time he acted as president of the i board. j Mr. Graham operated his own i store, the Graham Mercantile, in 1 Fairview for a number of years ' until his retirement several years ago, due to ill health. ! He was a member of the I Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints and served as Sunday school superintendent and as an official of the Mutual Improvement Improve-ment Assn.
