Show j Mt. Pleasant Man Attends I , ! R.O.T.C. Course in Texas ! Oscar Reed Frandsen, Mount Pleasant, is one of a hundred Reserve Officers Training Corps ' Cadet Lt. Col., who is attending a six weeks course a Fort Bliss, Texas. The group includes stu-, stu-, dents from colleges and univer-i univer-i sities in Texas, California and A Utah' IX -This is the first R.O.T.C. class to be given instruction in guided W missies and the first to have the opportunity of seeing a rocket y shoot at White Sands, Proving 7 Grounds, New Mexico, which has i , been visited frequently during f the course. , Under supervision of Anti-Air- f waft and guided missle branch of the Artillary school at Fort Bliss, the Cadets are instructed in anti-aircraft artillary tactics and techniques, fire all types o' anti-aircraft artillary, man fire 'e control equipment and radars and work on related military sub-j sub-j jects. T Cadet Lt. Col. Frandsen is now , a student at the Utah State Agri-i Agri-i cultural College,-and was an in structor in R.O.T.C. the pas' A school year. He saw six years of service m the U. S.
