Show BYU Tightens Rules For Admission Anticipating an added enrollment en-rollment of 200 new students Winter Quarter, Brigham Young University today re-emphasized details of its admission policy for the benefit of new students, according to Dr. Wesley P. Lloyd, dean of students. After a careful study of admission ad-mission problems. Dean Lloyd said, the university has decided that no students will bs admitted ad-mitted without clearance by the admissions committee. All persons considering entering enter-ing the university next quarter ' and in the future should submit j an application blank to the ad-i ad-i missions committee on the regular regu-lar for at least 30 days before registration, he said. Registration cannot proceed until the student has received a note of acceptance from the admissions ad-missions committee. During the autumn quarter, he continued, some students jwere admitted on probation and given 10 days to complete their clearance. However, he said, this practice is being discon-jtinued discon-jtinued and students who appea; without proper credentials will j remain out of school until the I proper forms have been sub-; sub-; milted and regular admissions granted. |
