Pleasant Plea-sant with Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Fowles. Moroni Marchant and his family attended the reunion of the family of Alonzo Marchant last Saturday at the Hot Pots. Sgt. and Mrs. Carrol Staker were in Mt. Mr and Mrs. John L. Carlson and family of Salt Lake visited triends and relatives in Mt Pleasant last weekend. Fifteen members of the Saturday Satur-day night Rook club spent Sunday Sun-day in the Ephraim canyon and returned home over the skyline drive. Mrs Ovina Coats had her two daughters, Mrs. Goldie O' Bryant of Salt Lake and Mrs William Schmidt of Heber City as visitors over the weekend. Also visiting Mrs. Coats during that time was Joseph Vochatzer of Kansas City, Mo. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Canaday will leave this week to make their home in Ephraim where Mr. Canaday will attend Snow College. Mrs. Stanley Gill is entertaining entertain-ing Friday at a luncheon bridge. Outtof-town guests will be Mrs. L. Tueller, Mrs. Royal Candland and Mrs. Harry Menseh of Provo. Visitors From New Mexico Mr. and Mrs. James L. Nielsen of Albuquerque, N. M., and family fam-ily have spent the past week visiting with relatives and friends in North Sanpete. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Norwood Hardy were Mrs. Hardy s mother, Mrs. H. Leroy Morrill, her sisters, Isola and Lou Ann, her brother, Lawrence and Miss Milda Rasmussen, all of Tridell, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Isreal Heaton and two small daughters of Logan, who were enroute to Kanab, also visited the Hardy's on Saturday. Mrs. Heaton is Mr. Hardy's sister. Members of Artopic club and their husbands held a summer Kensington at the Beaver dam lodge Saturday evening. Mrs. Bernadine Meyrick was chairman chair-man of the arrangements committee. com-mittee. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Jensen left last week for Washington, D. C. where Mr. Jensen will attend at-tend medical school at George Washington University. Mr. Jensen, Jen-sen, the son of Mrs. Harold Jensen, completed his pre-med course, this spring at the University Uni-versity of Utah. Two neices of Mrs. T. M. Christensen, Mrs. Ann Tomlinson and Mrs. Rose Gardner, and their children will be leaving this to return to their home in Calgary, Canada after having spent a couple weeks in Mt. Pleasant with their aunt. They will be accompanied by their mother, Mrs. Bertha Mills, who has been visiting with Mrs. Christensen for the past two months. Mr. and Mrs. Obed Nelson and their daughters, Beverly and Lucille, left Wedneday morning for a ten day visit with Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Nelson in Hollywood, Calif. The Nelson's had as their dinner din-ner guests Monday evening Miss Pauline Filler and Miss Alleen Pymn of St. George" and Mrs. Walter James and Mrs, Hampton Burke of Black Rock, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. J. Vord Spencer visited in Mt. Pleasant last Friday Fri-day afternoon. They attended funeral services for Ida LuEmma Syndergaard. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell J. Wall of Los Angeles and their three children were guests of Mrs. Hyrum Madsen during the week end. They arrived in Mt. Pleasant Plea-sant Saturday, departing Monday Mon-day visit relatives and friends at Salt Lake City. Mr. Wall is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August C. Wall. Mrs. William Hafen returned Sunday from Cedar City where she had spent the past three weeks visiting with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hafen. Mrs Hafen was driven back from Cedar City by Mr. and Mrs. Rex Hafen and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hafen who had mads the auto trip to Cedar City Saturday. Family Honors Bert Wright A reunion in Salt Lake city at Liberty Park of immediate relatives marked Bert Wrights 70th birthday Sunday. The Mt. Pleasant contractor and Mrs. Wright were honored by the following members of the family-Mr family-Mr and Mrs. Armond Wright and Michael, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Wright and two children. Mr and Mrs. B. N. Scovil and Virginia Ann all of Mt. Pleasant Mr and Mrs. Paul Wright, Ephraim; Mr. and Mrs. Whitney Wright, and family; Mr. and Mrs Ferry Wright and family and' Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Belliston and family all of Salt Lake City. Mr and Mrs. Blain Gardner of Salem, Utah visited at Mt Pleasant over the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wil-ford Wil-ford Larsen. Mrs. Gardner is the former Lois Larsen. Mr and Mrs. William Stevens and family of Cawley, Wyoming in comtpany with Bishop and Mrs Arnold Stevens and family visited Bryces Canyon after Cedar Breaks last week. After their trip they attended a Steven's' family reunion held at Parawon, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 19, 20 and 21. Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Madsen Honored A family dinner for 21 people at Pleasant Park Sunday marked the 70th birthday of C. T. Mad- SeThe Madsen's also received word of the birth of a granddaughter grand-daughter his week. The child is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chesley Madsen of Clearfield. Mrs. Madsen Mad-sen is the former Geneil Jensen of Moroni Acme club members enjoyed a Kensington Wednseday afternoon after-noon at Pleasant Park. Chairman Chair-man for the affair was Mrs. Florence Bagnall. Mrs. Fred Spence returned to her home in Salt Lake Tuseday after spending a week in Mt. Pleasant with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest McArthur, and other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Johansen of Los Aneles visited with friends and relatives in Mt. Pleasant this week.
