It is entitled, "The Bee Hunter," is written charmingly by George Harold Edgell, and comes as an assurance that all is not lost; that the atom bomb is not the goal. For ii there are people, as Mr. Edgeel claims there, are, who find exhileration in spending the better part of day looking for a "bee tree" then there's certainly little reasan for the rest of us to knock ourselves out fighting the cold war and the newspapers and radio are always talking about Bee hunting is a very technical sport and we are not about to buzz in Mr. Edgills hive with an attempt to explain it If you don't read the article, you'll just have to take our word for it that the world needs more bee hunters and less head line The total lost of said impiove merits is estimated at Nine hints, mil Seven Hundred Fifty and t.o 100 ($975060) Dollars, plus lm, ol the contract price foi eneme ling and other expenses, plus mteiest if then he any, on inteiim wanonts, of which the dinner's poitmn is estimated also, at Nine Thousand Sevt n Hun died Fifty and 00 100 S0750 GO Doll. us, of which Two Thousand Two Hundred Thirty and HO 100 isj20os()i Dollars for 7 inch eurb and gutter, the same being $2 00 I ( linear foot of abutting proand in addition thereto sidewalk driveway, if requited p. r pel ty, tlie mopeity owner, between Ii v ihe emb and the projierty line at $3 50 per square yard, the cost of sui h driveway to be bourne by the propel ty owner; and of which total (ost Two Thousand Thirty-eigh- t and 50100 t $2038 50) Dol-laifor five (5) foot pavement the same being $1.50 per front foot of abutting property, and in addition thereto sidewalk drives Bee Hunters, Arise! - - l I ' hunters. For instance, il the next time the Big Four Foreign ministers meet, they'd got to bee hunting instead of sitting around insulting each other, fewer of us would get stung and even the Russian bear couldn't kick anymore about not getting his share of the honey. In hi article, Mr. Edgell claims that bee huntinb is rapidly becoming a lost art. Certainly there was never a better time for a revival. , D.U.P. It as reported that Mrs. Alma Neilson had returned to her home in Ephraim alter spending seven weeks at the hospital with a heart ailment. We have since learned from reading the correct version of the story in the Ephraim Enterprise that Alma Neilson ain's a she. He's a he. By At that, we probably don't feel anymore foolish than Bill Olsen did at the end of a recent frustratin day spent in the great upstate metropolis. First off someone stole his brand new straw hat while he was having a quiet game of golf. That would't have been so bad, but the thief, instead of e making a clean sweep, left Bill a disreputable old head-peac- several seasons vjntage. Attempting to assage his injured feeling over the loss of the new straw, he went to a movie. When he came out of the theater his car was gone. This time the thief left no substitute. Bill it to the police station to report the stolen Now car. comes the real sad part of this story. Before he got away from the police station he had paid a $2.00 fine for parking in a taxie zone, $2.50 towing charges and in addition as stuck with taxie fare to the garage where the police r had taken his automobile. Everybody, including you, dear reader, is entitled to a vacation. For that reason next week's editorial column will be written in the historical view of Dan Rasmussen and Tom Foolery will be filled with springtly words from the pen of of hot-foote- d tow-ca- Miriam T.
