Show Moroni Future Farmers ' Excell At State Meet A farm mechanics judgfng team from Moroni High school's FFA organization won top place in contests conducted at Salt Lake city August 10, it was announced an-nounced this week. Word to this effect was received re-ceived by Lawrence Kelson and Elden Westenskow, ag instructors instruc-tors at the Moroni school. Forty-six FFA chapters participated partic-ipated in the competition, Mr. Kelson said, and teams from Moroni also placed fourth in the Dairy and Poultry judging, and seventh in Livestock. The top-placing farm mechanics mechan-ics judging team from Moroni was followed by Richfield second; sec-ond; Jordan, third, and Bear River, fourth. . . Members of the winning team were, Morris Oldroyd, Fountain Green, who also placed first with individual honors; Duane Anderson and LeGrande Anderson Ander-son Wales, anu Eugene Mikkel-sen Mikkel-sen Fountain Green, alternate Livestock team members were Rav Sumsion, Moroni; Glade Lamb, Wales, and Eugene Mik-kelsen Mik-kelsen Fountain Green. The poultry team included Sbersof'the dairy team were Duane Anderson, Wales, Le Grande Anderson, Wales, and Ray Sumsion, Moroni. |
