Show John August Calson Dies Of Pneumonia at Home John August Carlson, 67, died last Friday night at the family .lorae of pneumonia. Mr. Carlson was born in Lunds-vale, Lunds-vale, Sweden, September 12, 1877, a son of John Peter and Gustava ..1 zabeth Bachman Carlson. He came to Utah in his younth. :ie married Hilda Josephine Norman of Mt. Pleasant, October W.i, 1906, and they had lived here since. Surviving, besides -his widow, are seven sisters and four brothers, broth-ers, Mrs. Justus Wilcox, Sterling, Alberta, Canada; Mrs. William Kagley and Mrs. Edwin Gudgeon, Los Angeles; Mrs. Andrew Norman, Nor-man, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Louise lark, Santa Monica, Calif,; Mrs. Idonna Duncan, Crockett, Calif.; and Mrs. Elwood Madsen, Chester; Ches-ter; Eskel Carlson and Gerald Carlson, Eureka; Delone Carlson, : Spring City, and Shirley Carlson, with a U. S. engineers battalion j in England. Funeral services were con-' con-' ducted Wednesday at 2 p. m. in ihe North ward chapel by Supt. J. It. Bagnall of the ward bishopric. bishop-ric. The choir sang, "Rock of Ages, f.nd the opening prayer was of- ' lo ed by Supt. Bagnall. A quar-:e;t, quar-:e;t, "Come Unto Me," was sung by A. L. Peterson, Opal Scoville, ": Jensen and George Squire. Joseph Ursenbach paid tribute to his memcorv ana Mrs. T. W. Jen-(n Jen-(n sang, "My Task," and was accompanied by Opal Scoville. Arthur O. Neilson spoke of his I fe and character and the choir r;;r,r, "God Be With You Till We Meet Again." S. M. Nielsen offeror of-feror the closing prayer. : The grave in the City cemetery was dedicated by Bishop O. M. Aldrieh and burial was under Ji.ection of the Ursenbach funeral fu-neral home. |
