Mr. and Mrs. Ross Vance entertained en-tertained at a Bridal shower at their home Saturday evening in honor oi" their daughter, Thelma. j ins evening was spent in play- ing "Bridge," and "Rook." There i were thirty relatives and friends 1 in attendance and manv beauti ful girls were presented to the Bride, after which delicious refreshments re-freshments were served. Mrs. Virginia Seely left for South Carolina Monday where she will go to visit with her husband, who is stationed in that state. Mr. Ross Vance left for San Diego, California Tuesday where he expects to stay for about two months visiting with his son, Dean, who is in the Marines and is stationed in California. Mrs. Elizabeth Cox left Sunday Sun-day for Portland!" Oregon where she expects to visit a month with her aaughter, Mrs. Leona Rich-a.dcon Rich-a.dcon and family. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Brady are the proud parents of a baby boy born January 20th at Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Blam Madsen aft rejoicing over the birth of a baby girl born January 3rd. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rigby were visitors in Provo the later part of the week. Tiie "North Bend" Daughters of the Utah Pioneers held their monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Erba Rasmussen Monday evening. Second Vice Captain Agatha Graham conducted the meeting. The lesson, "Lighting," was given by Mrs. Margaret Bench. A vocal solo, "The Flag Without A Stain," was sung by Mrs. Ellis Coombs, and a reading as given by Mrs. Eva Hand. Light refreshments were served to fourteen guests who were present. Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Peterson and daughter, Miriam, were visitors' visi-tors' in"Salt Lake City last week I.ir. and Mrs. Cleston Rigb: and two children, Niel and Luanl of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Pete. Peterson, Jr. of Manti, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Shepherd, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew L. Peterson and Mrs. Glenda Staker and children of Mt. Pleasant and Mr. and Mrs. La Von Christensen of Ephraim were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rigby last week. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Clements of Salt Lake City visited with relatives and friends in Fairview last week. Mr. and Mrs. Silven Peterson and family were visitors in Brig-ham Brig-ham City over the week end. Mrs. Minta Clement and Mirl Jensen celebrated their birthday anniversaries at the home of Mrs. Minta Clement on January 21. A delicious hot dinner was served to the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rigby, Mrs. Ila Jensen and son, Mrs. Lucille Madsen, Mr. Andrew Shepherd, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Clement of Salt Lake Citv. Mr. LeRov Peter son of Ephraim, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Shepherd, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Peterson of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Buena Gunderson and son of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Cox and baby of Salt Lake City visited with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Cox last week at Fairview. A group of young folks of Fair-view Fair-view have organized a club, which they named, the "Fire Side Chat." The first two meetings meet-ings were held at the home of Howard W. Rigby, and the third meeting was held at the home ot Cyrus Jensen. The lesson, "The Way To Perfection," was given by iloward W. Rigby. They hold a half hour class after which the remainder of the time is (pent in playing "Rook." Light refreshments were served. A program was held in each ward and re-ifcshments re-ifcshments were served. After t which they joined together for a dance in the Amusement Hall, Every one present enjoyed a good I. me. Mrs. Mini a Cox celebrated her birthday anniversary at her home Friday. A delicious hot dinner was served to a number of relatives rela-tives and friends. The afternoon was spent in doing needle work. Private Rex Turpin, who has been si-i.: icnei ! at Camp Roberts, California, is spending a ten day furlough visiting with relatives and friends at Fairview. Fairview will again soon be over the top in the 4th War Loan Drive as we were in the 3rd War Loan Drive. Our quota for the 3rd drive was 11,000 and we went over the top. The President's Birthday Ball will be held Saturday evening in the Amusement Hall Let us all ! come and help the sufferers of Infantile Paralysis so they will be helped, sit they might be able to walk again.
