Llewellyn on her 75th birthday anniversary, 1 1-.iondav, Jan. 24th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida L. Hansen. Han-sen. Dinner was served and a most enjoyable afternoon was srer.t reminiscing with her old friends. Mrs. Llewellvn was born Jan. 24, 18G3 at Fountain Green, the daughter of Ole and Catherine Hansen Sorcnson. She was married mar-ried to John T. Llewellyn, who died in 1912. She was the mother moth-er of eight children, seven of whom are living. They are, Mrs. Olivia Mikkelson, Mrs. Ida L. Hansen and Harry Llewellyn of Fountain Green; Max Llewellyn of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Kate O-'Conncr O-'Conncr of Mill Valley, Calif.; Sergeant Gomer Llewellyn, now in Alaska and Private Rees Llewellvn Llew-ellvn at Camp Roberts, Califor nia. There are twenty grandchildren grand-children and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Llewellyn has served this community for many years as a home nurse and has also been a faithful church worker, serving in the capacity of Relief Society and Primary organizations. Marriage Announced Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Hansen Han-sen announce the marriage Jan. 21st of the'T daughter, Lucile Hansen to Mr. Rulon Painter, son of Mrs. Emma Painter of Santa-quin, Santa-quin, Utah. Boatswain 2!c Frank L. Syme. who i- stationed at Treasure Island. Is-land. P.f"eived shin, San Francisco, Francis-co, California and wife and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hansen and children chil-dren of Sunnyside, Uath visited during the week at the home oi Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Syme. Mrs. Mary P. Mikkelson is very ill at the Holy Cross hospital in Salt Lake City where she underwent under-went an operation. Founteen little friends were entertained Tuesday afternoon at a birthday party given by Mrs. Zelda Holman honoring her little lit-tle daughter, Jean on her 7th birthday anniversary. The K. K. club members entertained enter-tained their husbands at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Cook Friday evening. Covers were laid for fourteen guests. I The Literary club members were entertained at a birthday I dinner Wednesday afternoon at Moe home of their President Mrs. Minnie Olsen. "' The Nephi North Ward M. I. A. nresented a three act comedy entitled, en-titled, "Jane Arden," Wednesday evening, Jan. 26th in the Theatre 1 building at Fountain Green. This entertainment will be an exchange courtesy which will be given by the Fountain Green M. I. A. at a future date. The decorations were most beautifully arranged and covers were laid for ten guests when Mrs. Maggie Frandsen entertained enter-tained at a birthday dinner at her home Friday afternoon. She was the recipient of many lovely gifts. At a meeting of the Sorosis club members Wednesday, Jan. 19th at the home of Mrs. Pearl Holman Mrs. Elinor Nielson was elected President for the coming year with Mrs. Ethel Anderson chosen as vice preseident. Miss La Priel Aagard, a nurse at the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake City, is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Aa-gad Aa-gad in Fountni Green. Mrs. Cleo Johnson entertained the Stitch and Chat club mem- bc-rs at her home Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. A most enjoyable time was spent. . At Mills, Utah on January 12th Mr. and Mrs. Victor Collard entertained enter-tained the K. K. Club members and their husbands of Fountain Green at a birthday dinner. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Scott Cook Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. De Vere Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Holman and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Nielson. Mrs. Hannah C. Mathias has been seriously ill at her home for some time. Her many friends wish her a speedy recovery. Wayne Williams, who is attending at-tending school at the B. Y. U. in Provo, and Clair Collard, Superintendant of the Ward Sunday School, were the speakers at Sacrament meeting Sunday. Mrs. Ada C. Anderson has returned re-turned home after spending the past two months in San Diego, California- with her daughter, Mrs. H. E. Hansen. |
