Show Utah 4-H'ers Stand High At Portland Show Several Utah 4-H Club girls who sent exhibits to the recent Pacific International Show at Portland, Ore., have won honors at the show, in competition with 4-H'ers of the other western states. Exhibits were entered in clothing and in foods. Blue, red and green ribbons were given, along with some cash awards, according to Fern Shipley, Ship-ley, assistant supervisor ol youth programs, Utah State Agricultural Agricul-tural College Extension Service. In clothing Charlene Secrist, 17, Ogden RFD, took the second place premium of S17.50, with a gray worsted wool dressmaker suit, which .she rnade for $20.77. Hci suit had a rnedium-long , Jacl:.-; :-.nd a four-gored shin : with hemline split in the lenier ! front. Fourth place premium wan also al-so won by a Utah girl, Aik--n Kov. lei, IS, Sandy, Salt Lake county. Miss Fowler's entry was a gray novelty .stripe, tailored tail-ored wool suit with a roll collar, col-lar, buttoned jacket, and six-gored six-gored skirt. Total cost was 1 $20.39. |
