Show Battery D Wins First Honors At Inspection Captain Chesley P. Seely of Battery Bat-tery "D" 222nd Field Artillery U. N. G. was advised Thursday by General W. G. WJUiams of Salt Lake City, that the local- guard A'i;n first place m this year's Federal Fed-eral inspection. This is quite a signal honor since there are many batteries in the state. Battery D won second place last year, Battery D of the 145th Salt Lake, winning first place. The local Battery has won the cup for first place at the annual encampments at Camp W. G. Williams four years out of eight. The battery officers are Captain Chesley P. Seely, first lieutenant, Ernest G. Brunger, second lieutenants, lieuten-ants, A. W. Peterson and H. E. Frandsen. The inspection was held March 2nd at which time General Williams, Willi-ams, Lieutenant A. E. Wilfong, Captain Curtis, Captain Dufly, Major V".r.t, Colonel Hamd'co. Gardner, inspecting officer B. L. Carrol and the entire Service Battery Bat-tery of Lehi were in attendance. |
