Show I MORONI Ry Special Corrospondenne Mrs. Roy Storey and Mrs." Russell Rus-sell Bailey entertained the Sorosis club at the home of the latter Thursday afternoon. Committees were named to conduct a summer play ground beginning the following follow-ing week after school closes. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to the following fol-lowing club members: Mesdames James M. Larson, N. P. Sorensen, ' Ernest Blackham, Gene Despain,' Lloyde Blackham, John Irons, El-1 lis Draper, Blaine Draper, Leo' Morley, Morgan Lamb, Elmo Irons,! and Marvin Anderson. Mrs. Delena Stevens celebrated; her birthday anniversary Saturday! evening. Turkey supper was served to thirty guests. Mrs. Mary J. Blackham has returned re-turned home from Los Angeles where she has spent the past two years. Mrs. Dan Phillippi of L6s Angeles Angel-es is visiting at the home of her father, W. L. Irons. The Moroni high school presented pre-sented the opera, "Cindy" under the direction of Ray Anderson on Wednesday and Thursday nights cf last week. Those in the cast were: Cindy, Dean Coombs; Reginald Regin-ald Carson, Lynn Tidwell; Perkins, Harold Arnoldson; Parkins, Eugene Blackham; Gertrude, Mauriel Larson; Lar-son; Agatha, Evelyn Smyth; Lady Pompous, Ellen Christensen; Sir Algernon Pompouss, Vern L. Jensen; Jen-sen; Dame Broomstick, Ruby Olsen; Ol-sen; ' Yolanda, Ada Washburn; the Countess, Pearl Arnoldson; first Fairy, Vawn Blackham; second Fairy, Dona Guymon. The cast was assisted by -a chorus of 100 voices and a 40 piece orchestra. Mr. and Mrs. Reid Hardy of Denver, Colorado is visiting relatives rela-tives in Moroni. They are guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Hardy. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Burnside announce an-nounce the birth of a baby girl. Mrs. Burnside was formerly Miss Preal Blackham of this city. Mrs. Marvin Anderson attended funeral services for her aunt, Mrs. Mary D. C. Nielsen, at Mt. Pleas ant Thursday. |
