Show Former Resident Here Dies in Grand Junction The following account is taken from the August 11th edition of the Grand Junction, Colo. Daily Sentinel: Senti-nel: ' Funeral services for Mrs. Marie C Anderson who passed away yesterday yes-terday at about 1 o'clock, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o' clock at the Krohn chapel, with the Reverend Fenner in charge of the service. Marie C. Anderson was born in Denmark, March 18, 1852. She came with her husband and family t0 the United States in 1892, settling in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. It was here, one year later, that her husband, James Simonsen, passed away. Several years passsed and she married O. S. Anderson, who died in Grand Junction in 1916. Mrs. Anderson had been a resident of this city for 35 years. She was a member of the local T3nrisf. nhlllVV mhon eVia -fi-ef noma to Grand Junction, and remained faithful to it the entire time of her life. Surviving are two sons, C. S. Sim-onson Sim-onson of this city; J. P. Simonson. Green River, Utah, who arrived last evening in Grand Junction; and her daughter, Mrs. J. H. McBain of Casper, Cas-per, Wyoming, who has been with her mother for some time during her long illness. Seven grand children child-ren survive and three great grand-chilren. |
