Show I I ! FOUNTAIN GREEN 1 I By Special Correspondence Word was received this week of the arrival of a baby boy at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lamb of Wales, on August 11th. The mother was formerly Miss Ethel Nielson of our city. Miss. Irene Oldroyd is visiting at ' Indianola for the coming two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Mel Graham. i during the absence of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Oldroyd, Old-royd, who have gone on a trip to Canada. A. P. Anderson enjoyed his 73rd birthday last Saturday by having his children who reside In Ftn. Green, spend the day with him. Those present were: Mrs. George Ccombs and children; Mr. and Mrs. Andre v.- A. Anderson and family, m ;! also hU neighbors, Mr. an-1 Mrs. Olof Olson. Mr. and Mrs. Niels Lund announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter Rcah, to Robert Barker of Pccatello, Idaho on Aug. 14th at the Salt Lake Temple. They have the best wishes of their friends and relatives for a happy and successful success-ful married life. Mi-, and Mrs. Henry Jackson, Mrs. Edward H. Barrett and Mr. and Mrs. A. J.. Fetchel, of Pocatel-!o, Pocatel-!o, Idaho, spent Tuesday wiwth Mr. raid Mrs. Mathias Allred. Mrs. Peter Jacobson of Provo and Radcliffe Allred of Spring City are also guests at their home for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Denzil Jensen returned re-turned this week after visiting with relatives and friends in Nephi.. Mrs. Keith Allred and children of Mt. Pleasant spent a few days this week at the home of Mr. and Mds. C. R. Coombs. Mr. and Mrs. Max Huggins of Los Angeles are spending a few days with Mrs. Florence Green. Mr. Huggins is a son of the late G. W. Huggins. He was born in Ftn. Green but later moved to California, where he has since made his home. They motored to Ogden on Saturday and were accompanied by Mrs. Florenct Green. They will visit in Ogden for a lew daj-s with their brother. All arrangements for the Lamb Day celebration on -August 22nd are complete and everything is being done to make it a big success. It will consist cf a big program at 2 p. m. on the schoolhouse lawn, boxing box-ing bouts, a ball game, a free barbecue bar-becue of 20 lambs and two dances in the evening. Everyone is invited. Miss Ruth May Jacobson returned return-ed home this week after spending most of the summer with friends who live near Fish Lake. Miss Arda Bigler entertained 17 cf her young friends . on August 10th, it being the occasion of her 12th birthday. Games were played, after which delicious refreshments were served. Mrs. Joseph F. Livingston and daughter returned to Salt Lake this wceK after a two months visit here. Mr. and Mrs. John T. Oldioyd of Salt Lake announce the engagement engage-ment of their daughter, Maurino, to Bus Sanders of Salt Lake. The marriage mar-riage will take place in the Salt Lake Temple on August 29th, which is the 25th wedding anniversary of her parents. Mr. and Mils. John J. Oldroyd and daughter Jessie, spent a couple of days this week in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Hansen and family returned home last week after af-ter spending a few days with friends and relatives in Castle Valley. Mrs. Jos. R. Christiansen entertained enter-tained a number of girl friends in honor of her niece, Miss Elna Peterson Pet-erson of Logan, who i3 visiting here. After chatting, and playing games, a delicious luncheon was served. Those present were: Attalie Johnson, Delia Rosquist, Marjorie Guymon, Ora Livingston, Beth An - 1 derson, Evelyn Smyth, Victoria Yor-gason, Yor-gason, Sadie Livingston and Lucille 1 Allred. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy Seager en- tertained a number of friends at a chicken dinner last Thursday evening eve-ning in Maple Canyon. |
