Show I FAIRVIEW j i By Special Correspondence Honoring Mr. A. U. Miner's birthday birth-day a reunion of his family was held Sunday, August 13th. Dinner was served and a social afternoon enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Artie U. Miner Min-er of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ashman of Riverton were the out of town guests. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Miner and family of Pomona, California are spending the week with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Miner held a family reunion at their home Thursday, August seventeenth. Dinner Din-ner was served, songs and games and a social were enjoyed during the afternoon and evening. Out ci town guests were: Mr. and Mrs O I.. Miner of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Miner of PomonaCalifornia, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Jensesn of Castle Cas-tle Gate, and Mrs. George Daley and family of Salt Lake. The occasion oc-casion was also the twenty-third anniversary of Mr. Parker Miner. Miss Fay Rigby entertained the S. O. D. H. Club at a delightful Kensington Thursday afternoon Miss Helen Miner and Miss Kather-iue Kather-iue Sundwsll were special guests. Mr. and Mrs. Orvin Wilde a.n-ncunce a.n-ncunce the arrival of a baby boy August the eleventh. Mrs. Wilde was formerly Miss Verl Miner of Faii-view. A reunion of all the descendants of Lindsay Brady, who was a Utah Pioneer, will be held at Geneva, on the nineteenth. Patriarch Jordan Brady of Fairview, who is the oldest old-est descendant now living, will at tend. All Bradys and their descendants descend-ants are invited. Mr. and Mrs. Osborne Carlston of Murray, and Joseph Carlston of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Blaisdale of Malad, Idaho visited Fairview relatives and friends last weekend. Mrs. Blaisdale was formerly form-erly Miss Anna Carlston. Mr. and Mrs. Raphael Clement announce the birth of a baby girl. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse L. Young an-nounve an-nounve the birth of a baby girl. Afton Rigby, six year old daughter daugh-ter cf Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Rigby, fell from a barrel and broke her right arm Friday while playing. President Ellis Coombs announces that a meeting of the daughters of the Utah Pioneers will be held at 3:30 p. m. Sunday in the Fairview South ward church to complete the organization and outline a program and plan of work for the meetings to iiciu luc coining year, uegin-ning uegin-ning in September. AU ladies who are descendants of pioneers who came to Utah before the advent of the railroad are eligible to join the D. U. P. Mrs. Hilden Peterson and children child-ren of Helper are visiting relatives in Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Anderson announce an-nounce the engagement of their daughter Zetta to Mr. Byron E. Tucker of Fairview. The marriage will take place in the Salt Lake Temple August 24. Mr. Archie E. Anderson announces announ-ces the engagement of his daughter Loa to Mr. Golden Oldroyd ot Fountain Foun-tain Green. The marriage will take place in September. The marriage of Mr. Harris Cheney Che-ney to Miss Geneil Sorenson of Ephraim occurred at Manti week before last. A shower was given at che home of Mrs. E. Cheney by Chrystal Cheney Wednesday evening even-ing "of last week, in honor of the young couple. Captain Aaron oneuejr Fairview Post of the Sons and Daughters of the Black Hawk reports re-ports that the foUowlng program was given at the Black Hawk encampment en-campment Tuesday evening of last week, by the local post: Operetta with Stanley Brady. Marion Tucker, Mrs. Ellis Coombs and Mrs. Olea Cox comprising the cast; quartette, under direction of Stanley Brady; reading, Miss Glen-da Glen-da Rigby; vocal solo, Miss Nora Bench: reading, Mr. Darius Sanders- vocal solo, Mr. Jesse Young. The Mother's and Daughter's out- hag was new August, om. , : ward held theirs at the mouth of Cottonwood Canyon.
