Show Church Worker Dies at Moroni Mrs. Kiroten Maria J. Nelson, v.iie of Bishop Ephraim Nelson, passed away, at her home . early Thursday morning of diabetes. She was born in Moroni Nov. 25, 1868, a daughter of Andreas and Maria Lauritzen Jensen. She married Ephraim Nelson on March 12, 1884. Eleven children were born to them, ten of whom survive: E. Raymond of Genola, Mrs. Frank L. Burton and Mrs. J. F. Home cf Salt Lake City, Mrs. L. B. Morley of Manti, Mrs. Darrol Christensen of Oakland, Calif., Randall, Ran-dall, Jay and Allen of Garfield, Andreas An-dreas .and Earl of Moroni. She has also reared a grandson, Richard Jaccbson, from infancy, when his mother, her oldest daughter, daugh-ter, died. Thirty-eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and si brothers and sisters, also survive: Mrs. James Swenson, Mrs. Soren C. Neiison, Mrs. Urvin Gee and C. W. Jensen of Moroni, and Mrs. C. B. Christensen and A. E. Jensen of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Nelson was active in church work and did a great deal of Temple Tem-ple work. She was a Relief Society and Primary teacher for many years. She has been a counsellor in the Primary presidency of the Moroni West ward for ten and a half years, and still held that position po-sition at the time of her death. She had always lived in Moroni and her death came as a great shock to the community, which Is in deepest sympathy with the family. |
