Show Gerald V. Ross to Speak in American Fork During Week Tod R. Thompson,, presiding minister of the American Fork congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Wit-nesses, announced tixlay that Gerald Ger-ald V. Ross, circuit minister, and his wife Irene, are visiting the American Fork congregation this week. Earlier this month, Mr. Ross returned from Brooklyn, N. Y., where he attended a 16-day refresher re-fresher course at the world headquarters head-quarters for Jehovah's Witnesses. "The congregation anticipates a week of increased activity and spiritual benefit from Mr. Ross' visit," Mr. Thompson stated. The visit is described as part of an advanced training program for Jehovah's Witnesses. The activity activ-ity that is schedulod for the -week is designed to encourage more Bible discussion by people of all faiths in the community. The special week's aotivity began be-gan Tuesday evening with the weekly ministry school and service ser-vice meeting followed hy a timely talk by Mr. Ross. For the balance of the week, time will be devoted each day to field missionary service. Mr. and Mrs. Ross will join ministers from the local congregation in making calls on residents of Pleasant Grove, Lehi, and American Fork. This is part of the regular door-to-door ministry and training program pro-gram for Jehovah's Witnesses. v An interesting program Is planned plan-ned for Saturday evening beginning begin-ning at 8 p.m. The program will include a 30-minute discourse by Mr. Ross. The highlight of the week's aotivity will be a one-hour talk by Mr. Ross on Sunday at 3 p.m. entitled "Seeking Peace with God and Man." All meetings will be, held at the Kingdom Hall, located lo-cated at 97 South 5th East in American Fork. All persons of good will are welcome and no collections will be taken. |
