Show ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEWS The testing program is currently current-ly going forward at Central School with Mental Maturity tests being given to Uie Fourth graders and Achievement tests to the boys and girls of the Fifth grada. ESN Six teachers from Grovecrest School attended a conference held at Brigham Young University last Saturday concerning student leachers. They were LaRene Briggs, Carol Jaynes, Rose Rad-mall, Rad-mall, Leah Hartshorn, Vera Wag-staff Wag-staff and Principal Thomas Lar-sen. Lar-sen. They reported an outstanding outstand-ing day and received much help from this conference. ESN Parent's Visiting Day at Grove-crest Grove-crest proved highly successful last Friday. Almost all parents took advantage of this special opportunity to visit school and note progress made by their children. chil-dren. ESN The PTA of Grovecrest school honored all the personnel at the school last Thursday. The annual Teacher Appreciation Day was observed by gathering all of the teachers and students in the auditorium aud-itorium and the presentation of corsages to all the personnel at the school. This was a very fine gesture on the part of the PTA and Grovecrest would like to express ex-press appreciation to them for this recognition. ESN Thomas C. Larsen, principal at Grovecrest, is adininistering California Cali-fornia Achievement Tests and Mental Maturity tests throughout the school this week. Grades involved in-volved are the third, fourth and fifth. |
