Walker signifying lifetime membership in Pleasant Grove Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce, is Grant Atwood, president of the C of C. Harold S. Walker Presented Lifetime Membership by CofC Harold S. Walker, life-long resident res-ident of this community, was presented pre-sented with a Lifetime Membership Member-ship in the Pleasant Grove Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce at the annual banquet held last Wednesday night in the LDS Third-Sixth Ward recreational hal.l He was nominated for the award by C of C president Grant Atwood. Mr. Walker has served many years in church, civic and community com-munity activities. He has devoted 30 years to Soouting, serving as Scoutmaster, District Committeeman Committee-man and as an Executive member mem-ber of the Utah National Parks Council. He is a recipient of the Silver Beaver award. In church activities he has been Bishop of the Grove Ward, a three-year missionary to the Eastern Eas-tern States, Timpanogos Stake High Councilman and Stake Missionary. Mis-sionary. Oivically, he has given community com-munity service as a city councilman, council-man, Chief of Police, Chairman of World War II Ration Board, chairman of Civil Defense on the local and county level, a Volunteer Volun-teer Fireman and is currently rounding out 17 years of service as City Sexton. He has also been secretary and vies president of the Chamber of Commerce. Vocationally he has been a farmer, far-mer, dairyman, and manager of a furniture store and fruit, vegetable, vege-table, dairy marketing associations. associa-tions. Currently Mr. Walker is secretary-treasurer of the Pleasant Grove Irrigation Co. |
