LEO BOWEN Coleen Fenton Married in Salt Lake Temple Rites; Reception Held Aug. 25 ed ' by pink carnations and Formosa For-mosa fern, centered the satin and lace covered table. Formally clad young ladies who served were Jane Ingersoll, Louise. Richins, Karen Johnson, JoAnn Radmall, Brenda Blackhurst, and Gloria Warburton. Arranging the lovely gift display dis-play were Mrs. Rollo Blackhurst, Mrs. George McNees, Mrs. B Cob-bley. Cob-bley. Little people who assisted as gift bearers were Georgia Ann McNees, Sherrie Fenton, and Betty Bet-ty Davis. The youg couple were married Monday morning in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by Elder Clawson, and were accompanied by their parents and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bowen and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bo-wen. They have established a home in Provo where Mr. Bowen will continue his studies at the BYU at. the opening of fall quarter. One of the very nicely arranged social events of the late summer was the reception on Aug. 25 honoring hon-oring the marriage of Coleen Fenton, Fen-ton, attractive young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.ay Fenton and Leo Albert Bowen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bowen of American Fork. A color scheme of lime green and pink was carried throughout the First-Fifth ward meeting house, where the reception was held. The young couple and their party received relatives and friends under a background of gorgeous glads enhanced by lighted candelabra candel-abra and white -wedding- bells. The youthful bride was singularly singular-ly beautiful in white nylon lace over slipper satin, modeled with fitted bodice, and small stand-up collar. The full skirt was finished with ruffled tulle. The short veil of sheer illusion fell from a tiara of seed pearls. Her bridal bduquet was a. large white orchid nestled in stephonatis. Matron of honor, the groom's sister, Mrs. Ron Smith, was gowned gown-ed in pink taffeta. Bridesmaids, Ila Jean Walker, Norma Winters, Marion Davies, wore pink, as did also attending matron, Mrs. Walter Wal-ter Bowen. They all held pink carnations. car-nations. Walter Bowen assumed best-man best-man duties. Pretty little flower girls Christine Bowen and Jan Smith, were very pretty in pink frocks. Also in the lineup were parents of the bridal couple. Mr. and Mrs. Don Fenton and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bowen greeted guests at the door. Guest book was handled by Karen Dalton, a cousin. cous-in. Ushers were Leland Fenton, Garth Croft, and Dee Freeman. John Fugal cleverly emceed1 the program. Prayer was offered by Thomas Fenton, the bride's grandfather. grand-father. A triple trio sang "Hold My Hand," Deanna Wadley, Bev-orly Bev-orly Farr, Patricia Morgan, Carol Rees, Carol Pulley, Barbara SWen-son, SWen-son, Judy Nelson, Jean Richards, Pauline Ash. They were accompanied accom-panied by Janeil Fugal. A dance by Beverly Bowen was followed by a vocal solo, "My Hero," He-ro," by Carol Pulley, accompanied accompan-ied by Janeil Fugal. Pat Keetch played a piano solo. A clever and impressive toast to the young couple was given by Estelle Fenton and benediction was pronounced by the groom's grandfather. grand-father. Refreshments were served in the Relief Society hall, where an exquisite ex-quisite wedding cake topped by a replica of the Salt Lake Temple and resting on a mirror, surround- |
