Show Pleasant Grove High School Opening Slated for September 6 Pleasant Grove High School will open for the 1955-56 academic year on Tuesday September 6, according accord-ing to letters mailed out Tuesday to all prospective students. The letters were signed by A. J. Rogers Rog-ers and Lyean Johnson, Principals respectively of the Senior and Junior Jun-ior High Divisions. Senior High Students who registered regis-tered last Spring will attend their first three classes according to the schedules they now have. Students Stu-dents who did not register .last Spring and those new to the school will register in the auditorium at 9:00 a.m. Busses will make their regular run for Senior High Students on Tuesday morning" and will return the students to their homes at noon. A special bus run will be made soon after noon on opening day in order to bring the Junior High Students to school. All Seventh Grade Students will meet in the Auditorium at 12:30 to register. Eighth and Ninth Graders Grad-ers will go directly to the classes for which they registered last Spring. New students in these two grades will meet in the Auditorium at 12:30 also, to receive cards and enrollment instructions. Regular school will begin Wednesday, Wed-nesday, September 7, at '9:00 a.m. Registration fees for this year have been set by the Beard of Education as follows: .Senior High, $9.00 Ninth Grade, $7.00, and Seventh Sev-enth and. Eighth Grade, $4.00. In order to avoid confusion and extra ex-tra clerical work, all students should come prepared to pay their registration fees in full on Sept. 6. No lockers will be assigned to students until their individual fees are paid. Students who register for Physical Physi-cal Education will be required to provide a regulation padlock for their Gymnasium lockers. These locks may be secured from the book store on a nominal rental basis. School lunch will be served as usual this year at a price of 25 cents per student. Lunch hour .for Junior High Students is set for 12:00 to 12:30: and for Senior High Students, from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. Parents or students, having any questions regarding the details of the opening of High School, are invited to contact Mr. Rogers or Mr. Johnson personally. |
