Show ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEWS Parents visiting day will b2 held at Lindon School on Friday, Nov. 13. Activities have been scheduled from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., according to Principal Paul WiU:s. Students have taken tak-en home letters from the school advising the parents as to the specific hour they should make their visit. ESN Superintendent Dan W. Peterson Peter-son has recently completsd his visit to each classroom at Lindon Lin-don School. He talked to each teacher and observed classroom methods. ESN Talent night at Central School was much enjoyed last Thursday night under the sponsorship of the PTA. Mrs. Maxine Fugal chairmaned the program which included a mens chorus, pantomime, panto-mime, humorous readings, vocal solos and piano selections. ESNI- Two "Half-Hour Clubs" have been organized at Central School. At 3:15 to 3:45 pm. Fourth and Fifth grade students meet their teachers for help in Arithmetic combinations. Also, for a half -hour before regular school opens, Fourth and Fifth grade students, who have the desire, meet with Kenneth Ludlow and Max Ward for singing sing-ing instruction. ESN Achievement tests are currently current-ly being administered to Central School's Third graders, under the supervision of Principal Calvin Walker. ESN Letters of invitation for Central Cen-tral School's parents visiting day Friday, November 13, went home with the boys and girls Tuesday. Activities are scheduled from 8 a.m. until 4 pjn. ESN The PTA will hold their meeting meet-ing Thursday, Nov. 12 at Grove-crest Grove-crest at 7:30. A panel discussion discus-sion on Mental Health will be presented. Adele Anderson, chair-, man of Mental Health of Utah County, will be in charge of the discussion. ESN Last Wednesday afternoon the PTA executive committee held their monthly meeting. They discussed dis-cussed the very successful annual Halloween party, also Parents Day, which will be held Friday, Nov. 13. All parents are urged to attend the day. Letters received from Mrs. Donna Ash, former principal, were passed 'among the group present, to be read. |
