Show Alpine Country Club Sets Opening Saturday Grand opening of the temporary tempor-ary club house of Alpine Country Club will be Saturday, Nov. 11 but it will be more like a sneak preview. Unforeseen delays have pre vented ven-ted completion of some details of the building at the intersection of Utah Highways 80 and 71, according ac-cording to Dr. D. C. Jensen, Pleasant Grove, and Alpine Country Coun-try Club president. The more than 300 club members mem-bers are invited to get acquainted with the facilities and enjoy a chicken dinner even though some of the furniture is still en route, for example, and borrowed chairs and tables will be used. The grand opening activitioH will begin with a golf clinic at. 3 p.m. Alpine Country Club mum-bers mum-bers at this clinic will have the opportunity of meeting the club professional, John Geortson Jr., who has been assistant professional profes-sional at the San Francisco Golf Club. His father, a few years ago, was the golf professional at a Salt Lake City Club. Between 4 and 5 p.m., there will be tours of the newly completed com-pleted nine-hole course. I 'lay on the carefully laid out course will begin next spring. At a later date it will be expanded to 3 8 holes. After an informal social hour, dinner will be served Saturday between 6 and 8 p.m. Club members mem-bers and their guests may eat at their convenience during these two hours. J. Louis Schlogel, who has been an American Fork restaurati nr. will be chef for Alpine Country Club. Membc'-s may remain after dinner for dancing in the lounee. according to Yukus Inouye, Alpine Al-pine Country Club manager. The majority of the club members mem-bers reside in the area from Salt Lake to Provo. Some memberships member-ships still are available. Dr. J n-sen n-sen added. Mr. Paul expects to return on Thursday afternoon from the conclave con-clave attended by 67 dealers of the Intermountain district. |
