Show Pleasant Grove Voters Follow State Trend Tabulations Show According to the unofficial tabulations tab-ulations of the Utah County Clerk's office, 1,324 voters went to the polls in the Pleasant Grove Precinct in Tuesday's piimaiy election. As far as the candidates for state offices are concerned the Pleasant Grove area voters fol- . lowed the state trend except in the case of Verl Dixon of Provo. Mr. Dixon beat incumbent La-mont La-mont Toronto 275 to 169 for the Republican choice for Secretary of State. Governor George D. Clyde was a slight choice over L. B. Gun-derson Gun-derson for Governor on the Republican Re-publican ticket 244 to 213. How. . ever William A. Barlocker ran away from Ira A. Huggins 628 to 239 in the Pleasant Grove Precinct voting for the Democratic Demo-cratic gubernatorial nomination. Dave Greenwood, as expected, swamped Emery Andrews 5S1 to 259 for the Democratic nomination nomina-tion for Utah County Commissioner. Commis-sioner. Rulon Nichols, incumbent, beat Herbert Strattoiv 322 to 120 for the Republican choice for the same Utah County office. Judging by the vote for Governor, Gover-nor, 867 Democratic votes were cast for Barlocker and Huggins and 457 for Clyde and Gimder-son, Gimder-son, in the Pleasant Grove precinct pre-cinct voting. Governor Clyde said Wednesday morning that the Republicans Re-publicans just did not "get out and vote in the primary election."
