Show Lindon Lions Plan Various Projects For Near Future The Lindon Lions met for their annual halloween banquet last week and chose a business committee com-mittee of three to sponsor a project pro-ject for raising money to pay for installation of gas heat in the Lindon Lin-don Park building. Lions Ual Marshal, Mar-shal, Oliver Johnson and Blain Batty were the committeemen named. Also at this meeting a sum of money was raised to donate toward to-ward purchasing a pulpit for the Junior Sunday School room in the Lindon Ward Chapel. Lion Club President Joseph Swenson read a letter of appreciation appreci-ation received from the FFA boys. The boys thanked the Lindon Lions for the cash contribution which helped pay for their recent trip to Waterloo, Iowa where th?y attended at-tended the FFA convention. Attended by approximately 20 Lions and their ladies, the banquet featured halloween decorations and a steak dinner prepared by Mrs. Kenneth R. Gillman, Mrs. Blaine Batty, Mrs. Ivan Blain, and Mrs. Oliver Johnson. Special guets included Lions from Orem, Thorit Hebertson, El-wood El-wood Baxter and Tim Marsh from Springville, whose three daughters, Viva, Birdie and Joanne, supplied the evening's entertainment. |
