School Patrons Urged to Enroll In PTA Drive for Members Mrs. Robert Weeks, chairman of the local area PTA Council membership mem-bership drive, issued a call Tuesday Tues-day for all school patrons who are interested in the welfare of youth to join the PTA. The drive for members is currently going on and will continue until Oct. 31, according accord-ing to Mrs. Clifford Hales, publicity public-ity chairman of the Council. "One has only to read the papers to realize the seriousness of the youth problem today," said Mrs. Weeks. She emphasized the fact tnat all public and private agencies have a direct responsibility in help ing children adjust properly in our complex modern society. Membership Member-ship and participation in the program pro-gram of the PTA is one of the best ways to accomplish this adjustment, adjust-ment, Mrs. Weeks noted. Membership chairmen of the various schools have planned special spec-ial programs to stimulate interest in the drive. They are: Mrs. Fred Atwood, Central School; Mrs. Vern Jensen, Grovecrest School; Mrs. Lon Hooley, Lindon School; Mrs. Gerald Belliston, P.G. Junior High and Mrs. Jean Fugal, P.G. Senior High. |
