Show ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEWS The PTA membership drive at the Central School is now complete and results released Tuesday morning morn-ing indicate that it has been most successful. A survey by PTA officers of the room by room results revealed that the Sixth Grade Room of Dean Abegg scored the highest percentage of parents who had joined the current drive. As a prize the students of the winning grade will be rewarded with a special treat furnished by the PTA. Eighty per cent of the parents of the children in this room joined. ESN Students of the Grovecrest and Central Schools are back in school after two recent vacations. The next break in day to day class-work class-work comes on Thursday and Friday, Fri-day, Nov. 29 and! 30 the annual Thanksgiving recess. ESN Chief Hailstorm, a full-blooded Cherokee' Indian brave, is a guest at Central and Grovecrest Schools today, Thursday. The Chief will appear in full Indian regalia at two assembly programs at each school. Chief Hailstone is a veteran entertainer en-tertainer of many . years experience. exper-ience. He has appeared in the great Wild West shows of Buffalo Bill, P. T. Bamum, and numerous topflight top-flight rodeos of the United States and Canada. |
